The benefit to any organization is that it helps you focus on what you want to accomplish and monitor within a defined time. It helps you not get caught up in the tsunami of urgent activities that detract from what you are trying to achieve.

What is strategic management and why is this important.

The goal isn’t to just create a plan. The goal is to accomplish strategy plus execution. Strategic Management is a process comprised of four phases: Assess, Position, Plan, and Implement. (Canic, 2021)

Strategic Planning is part of the process, but it isn’t all you set out to do. Quality strategic management is when you continually manage, track and considers new information so you re-adjust as necessary. It is also is about ensuring you have achieved the results you set out to accomplish.
